EIAA enforces a strict dress code to set a serious tone for the school environment and eliminate the conflict and distractions often caused by varied dress style.  The secretary, Lori Miner, can answer questions regarding this policy.  Please bring concerns regarding the dress code policy to a governing body member or make a statement during the public comment period at the beginning of a governing body meeting.




Uniform Bottoms

a.Navy or khaki uniform slacks or shorts.  Girls: capris, dresses, jumpers, skirts or skorts are allowed.  Skirts, shorts or skorts are to be no shorter than 3” above the knee.
b.Slacks must be uniform slacks.  Cargo pants are not allowed.    Pants must be the proper size and not so large as to allow for sagging.  Khaki or navy corduroy pants are allowed in the winter.
c.Only plain brown, navy blue or black belts are allowed. 

Uniform Tops

a.Navy, red or white polos or oxfords are allowed.  All shirts must have a collar.
b.Navy, red or white crew neck sweatshirts (no hoods), sweaters and navy blazers are allowed.  A collared shirt must be worn under V-neck sweaters extending below the collar bone.

Dresses and Jumpers

a. Girls may wear dresses and jumpers that are white, navy, khaki, red or a plaid combination of these colors.  Dresses and jumpers are to be no shorter than 3" above the knee.

Footwear

a.Shoes are to be plain (no colored stripes or overtly conspicuous logos) and black, brown, navy, tan or white (no flip flops, open toed or more than 2” heeled shoes) and appropriate for comfort during school activities.
b.Socks are to be white, navy, black or khaki.  Tights may also be red.

Hats
a.Hats are not allowed in the building.

Backpacks
a.No advertising or display of controlled substances  (alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, marijuana, etc.)..  We recommend putting your child’s name somewhere on/in the pack.

Gym Attire
a.There currently is no need for separate physical education attire

Class Supply Lists

These lists are fairly extensive, but we want students to learn responsibility for their own materials and our limited budget restricts the amount of “free” materials we can offer students.  In addition to the supplies requested for each class, please bring one or two boxes of Kleenexes for the class to share.
